Dulce MelosoTwo Labs Coffee
Dulce Meloso is a blend of microlot coffees from Santa Elena, Honduras. It is produced by Catracha Coffee, a co-op of small farmers who individually grow too little coffee to distribute to the U.S. Catracha was formed to help these farmers pool their crop and get it into the U.S. market, while at the same time returning profits directly to the farmers as well as providing education about sustainable farming practices and strategies for improving crop quality. The label art was painted by a student at the Catracha art school, an extension of the co-op that teaches art and culture to the women and young people in the community.
This bright, light roast has fruity acidity, subtle floral notes, with undertones of caramel or honey and a light, almost tea-like body.
